In 1968, music changed forever when a new band emerged in England that would ultimately be hailed as the loudest band in the world and who would indelibly etch themselves into global consciousness – an echo that still reverberates today……That band was Deep Purple.
As individuals, their ability would have stood well on its own, but as a band, the explosive chemistry, the searing riffs, the gargantuan choruses, and the virtuosity and musical brilliance of each of these musicians inexorably lead to Deep Purple dominating music charts across the globe.
These factors gave us such classics as Highway Star, Black Night, Burn, and of course, there’s always that song with that riff which everyone who has ever picked up a guitar has tried to play – Smoke on the Water.
Now, this defining period in classic rock history has been re-created by Stormbringer – The Australian Deep Purple show.
These timeless classic rock songs are played faithfully in line with originals, and the shows incorporate some of Purple’s latter day classic tunes as well.
